Well, to save you a click, they don’t post the full survey results, only the methodology summary I recapped, so your curiosity will not be satisfied.

I clicked through to see whether the data made any sense, so I’m just as guilty. These things can be so hard to resist!
Self-report data is generally not super accurate. And if, like me, you swear between two and 6,000 times per day and everyone around you thinks that’s normal, you probably stop noticing all your cussing.
This data is poo-poo garbage, to use a technical term, and I assume it’s designed to get people to re-post to mock it.
They surveyed 1,500 people in 30 cities, so ~50 people per city (tiny sample) and as far as I can tell they just asked people how many times a day they think they swear.
Your lawn mower is way cuter than the ones I have used.

Apparently Ford invented a vehicle backup chime that sounds so much like the start countdown in Mario Kart that I reflexively tried to mash A when I heard the second note.
The “Taskmaster” fascination continues.
The problem with dropping your bike off for maintenance is that you can’t ride your bike back home after.

I hadn’t seen “Apollo 13” in a while, so we went with that
I was at a bar and everyone stopped what they were doing to watch re-entry and splashdown. A delightful human experience!
This is it. I don’t care about anyone’s consensual sexual arrangements unless I’m in a relationship with them. I care about the ethical problems created by a journalist getting in bed with (literally or figuratively) their sources.
IMO it’s bc the heat isn’t about an affair. It’s about her job as a journalist demanding specific boundaries regarding source relationships, which his job as a football coach doesn’t require of him in return. She violated the ethics of her job in a way he didn’t, even if they’re both having affairs.
A classic!
All right, nerds, what are we watching tonight, “Apollo 13” or “The Martian”?
This one really hurts

But even if I knew for sure that tipping well wouldn’t change the staff’s opinion of me at all, I’d still do it. It’s a hard job and most servers don’t make enough.
That’s fair, I don’t know how much every server is looking at receipts, but I am also not really talking about reservation-type places. I notice beers start disappearing off my tab after a pretty small number of visits, and part of that is just being nice, but I think part of it is tipping well.
And this was just being polite and tipping like 30%. Not huge amounts of money.
