Calligraphy text that reads, "I am writing an omegaverse, set in a megachurch."
Hey…remember back when I said this sentence at Glasgow Worldcon in 2024?
”Alpha and Omega”, my megachurch omegaverse short story, will go live on Sunday Morning Transport on May 10, 2026. Sign up here to read more! www.sundaymorningtransport.com
oh i'm excited!
sometimes you hit a hot streak. i've been on one recently, too.
on the whole, i prefer it to the years when i hate almost everything i read.
It would have been nice to mention Writer Beware, since I was the first to report on this lawsuit (back in February) and in much greater detail writerbeware.blog/2026/02/20/a...

sleator is so good. he's also quite rigorous on science when he wants to be. (what comes to mind is _the boy who reversed himself_ has all the food tasting different when your body is reversed because of chirality issues.)

The late William Sleator's SINGULARITY doesn't go to the dark matter place as such but... Unusually rigorous development of a black hole/general relativity hypothetical premise for a sci-fi novel, let alone one for *kids*. Possibly also his most bravura feat of prose.
you should say whatever you want. the emotions of others is not under your control.

oh lol apparently we're allowed to do promo:
amazing!
there's good vietnamese and korean if you know where to look, too. i may be biased because when i was in seattle i spent most of my time in the ID.
seattle has some very good food but it's not in any of the places where people say it is.
this is very cool.
Fellow sapphic SFF readers you've got plenty of time to read book one before this comes out. And you should!!!
JC Rice Noodle is primarily a rice noodle factory that supplies fresh noodles to every asian restaurant within driving distance, but they also have a side business in making the best chow fun in North America.
if you are in the Portland area, go to JC Rice Noodle and order the beef chow fun (or vegetarian if you don't eat beef.) fresh soy milk optional but good. one order is enough for 2-3 adults.
it's take-out only so you'll have to bring a utensil and eat it in a small park nearby. thank me later.
very excited!
man if this comes to pass my writing is going to be _even more_ valuable.
Good afternoon. "Let's Go to the Zoo" is a short story of about 1700 words. It is about wanting to kill yourself, and not wanting to want to kill yourself. I hope you enjoy it.
10 years oh god bury me now 👵💀
(But not before I **implore** you to read this trilogy, god I love it SO MUCH and will read it again soon)

i am very glad to have the services of consummate publishing professionals who can do things like come up with comps for me.
i am so laughably bad at comps.
We are thrilled to reveal the cover for Susanna Clarke's illustrated short story The Bishop of Durham Attempts to Surrender the City! Set 700 years before the events of Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, this enchanting new tale arrives October 20, 2026 from @bloomsburybooksus.bsky.social
"don't have a favorite" also spans both people who don't care about dinosaurs very much and people who care way too much about dinosaurs and it's like asking them to pick their favorite child.
excellent choices.
Two copies of Asunder in front of book shelves.
For the first time in my local bookshop!
one of my favorite books is getting a re-issue.
