I'm not under the illusion that I live in "the greatest country in the world" but when Americans mug off Britain I just have three things to say:

1. Our supermarket sandwiches are undefeated, American food is BAD.

My picks atm would be Inua Ellams, Jack Thorne or Toby Whithouse (the former two I think are better choices for their youth, the latter if they want to play it safe), at least Ellams and Whithouse have expressed some interest

I might get one when The Duskbloods comes out next year, but probably not before

Would’ve been my pick post-Moffat over Chibnall, but after Story and the Engine, I’m curious about Inua Ellams, feels like he really gets the show and he did say he had an idea for a series (could also just go Whithouse then Ellams too, or both as co-showrunners, I’d be happy with that)

Once again reiterating that “Doctor Who needs a showrunner who isn’t a fan” is a needless jump when they’ve not even tried “showrunner that’s not part of the same group of 90s fans that have been driving the show since it came back” yet

So I overall liked The Reality War… but got a bit messy in the last 20 minutes and my thoughts on the ending are… mixed

Still, hope the show does get renewed so I can witness Russell’s next drug fuelled fever dream in real time

I literally just got into this show ffs

Silicon Valley sees in AI the chance to finally subsume the entertainment industry.

So, didn’t give my thoughts on Lucky Day, I thought it was pretty good and easily the best Pete McTigue episode

Had a lot of really neat ideas I wish would’ve been spread over a couple of episodes or even as part of a series arc (could’ve also afforded a smidge more subtlety in places)

Yeah, The Well’s my favourite episode of the season so far, contender for top 2 or 3 of the era
