Tuesday meet up with my old friend Will. Subjects covered: Posy Simmonds' Mrs Weber's Diary, the many similarities between Liverpool and Naples, the mysterious Fr. Rolfe aka Baron Corvo, and the unforgiving nature of children, towards other children who wore flares in the early eighties.

Pretty disappointing that Dorset Cereals have abandoned the American Typewriter font after about 20yrs, only to replace it with centred Futura, like a crap bestseller in a chazzer shop.
Thanks for reminding me of this classic
Big fave
"Y'all"
Treated myself to Fantagraphic's new Corto Maltese release. Looks lovely, nice lettering too. Let's see how it reads.
Is there actually a Mersey Square South in Stockport? - I know there's a Mersey Square

First world problems alert. My fingers are aching from gripping the trigger of a pressure washer for 4 hours yesterday.

I'm quite puzzled as to why people think Shy Girl was written with AI. From the description: the constant repetition of words, the inconsistent tone and bad text formatting, it actually sounds like it was just written and self-published by an amateur writer without much talent or editorial help.
It's always a shock when my brain reminds me that Carol Vorderman was once in a band with awful Liz Kershaw, and that they were called (wait for it) Dawn Chorus & The Blue Tits.
"Cleaner to Aisle 8."
Great album. That cover though, what were they thinking? 😆
Think of the poor charity shops!
It really was fucking freezing in those old concert venues 😄
This is great. If you think that Britain was a civilised, friendly place in the 70s and 80s, this might jog your memory. youtu.be/0uwPQKpUaZo?...
Very much enjoying Jez Conolly's "anti-memoir" Capture Spiral: An Escape From Memory
Shooting more photo reference for The Twelfth BHF Book of Horror Stories illustrations. This one’s a zombie headshot in the mountains of Bavaria.
Survival
Mine shipped yesterday. Very much looking forward to it. I was worried it might be trapped on the Strait of Hormuz like these Fantagraphics books.
I cut this picture out of my Dad's Daily Telegraph without asking, and he got uncharacteristically angry about it
Done me first horror story illustration for a while. Photo reference included 😱
