Coincidentally just came across a bootleg NES with a "disc drive" that takes these weird CDs of different sizes. It took a long time to realize what I was experiencing there, I had to fully move past the thrill/excitement phase. The first time I consciously clocked it was during a long stint in an endurance race last year. I think that feeling is why I’m able to invest so much without second guessing it.

I hope that most folks are able to find the same feeling of “this is what I’m supposed to be doing” that I experience behind the wheel on track. It’s probably the most legitimate base level peace/contentment I’m capable of experiencing, doubt and anxiety disappears. The task is all there is.
