We need to talk about newborn babies seeing osteopaths.

The baby has eczema which is upsetting and unsettling sleep so I've been googling it. I now am being bombarded by adverts for non-steroid creams which will all claim they are the answer to making it better. How can they all be the one wonder cream that works?!

Help! I'm on maternity leave but I need to look at least minimally competent in a meeting today 😱 What topics/issues would you like the BMJ journalism team cover this year?

The lack of public toilets (let alone accessible ones) in central London is a disgrace

Why don't we have paediatric GPs? Not asking because I think GPs don't do an excellent job with children but more because wouldn't it lighten the workload and allow those who wanted to specialise more to do so?

What do we think of telling NHS patients how much it costs to miss an appointment? I think I'm pro but confusingly it doesn't come from the same number that reminded me about my appointment.

In @thetimes.com, we’ve warned that the #NHS will continue to lose talented early-career doctors unless urgent action is taken to fix training bottlenecks.

I asked Radiographer if she'd ever had a CT scan. She hasn't so I said it's a shame they don't, to see what it's like. "I don't really want the radiation," she said. Which made me think - at what point does that risk outweigh the benefit for someone like me where you're checking for cancer?

I sit down in waiting room. I see this sign. I get up and walk to reception to check in. "Oh no you don't need to check in, you just wait in the waiting room and they will call you."

Rapid response to BMJ investigation: Thousands of NHS doctors are trapped in insecure “gig economy” contracts

‘Once a doctor has been employed in the same specialty by the same trust for more than two years, they should be moved to a nationally negotiated SAS contract.’

Would cotton pouches filled with flaxseed work as an alternative for disposable ice packs (or plastic cold packs) for kids' bumps and bruises? Or nonsense?

Just waiting for my scan now. Reminding myself that even though it will really feel like I've wet myself, I haven't wet myself. (Although I have just had a baby so maybe I have...😆)

Feeling slightly nauseating deja vu 🤢 waiting for a CT scan while my baby and husband wait in the car park, in the hospital where I used to get my picc line cleaned during my chemo (and my first baby waited in the car park)

Round two maternity leave and I'm reminded of all the things that annoyed me last time (!) like the lack of space for prams on public transport. We don't want to take up space designated for wheelchairs but often there are no other options.
