You guys. A goose is nesting under the Spoon Bridge and Cherry. This is our Romulus and Remus moment. We already became ungovernable. Now we become myth. #Minneapolis.

I should definitely not be worried that I took the cats in for their checkups this morning, and now Maeve is crying because I won't let her have a knife, right? This is fine, I'm sure.
THIRTY MINUTES.
thirty goddamn minutes.
THE PHOTONIC EFFECT releases tomorrow! To tempt you into preordering, let's deep dive into the initial pitch of "Voyager x DS9 x Mass Effect" and how its influences all shake out on the characters and world. THREAD

Today in book scams: being told that a book I hadn't written wasn't reaching its audience.
Oh, and anyone using that author as a comp isn't someone I'd trust with PR, either.
Well, Friend Guinness, this picture of you will help with that.
'Texas A&M philosophy professor Martin Peterson is leaving the university after administrators told him in January that he couldn’t teach Plato’s Symposium in his philosophy class; they said the ancient Greek philosopher’s work violated the system’s restrictions on gender and sexuality content.' 1/3
Oh, this is glorious.
A+ belly
To celebrate, join @annaleen.bsky.social and I at @booksinc.bsky.social Palo Alto. We'll talk fake space science, interspecies longing, Star Trek/Mass Effect influences, and why indie/punk rock will endure for 500 years. RSVP and preorder signed books here! www.eventbrite.com/e/mike-chen-...
He seems to believe the rain was somehow your fault.
Friend Guinness, where are you?
Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

She would never! She has been framed by some dastardly fiend!
Aw, I'm glad this silly buddy has good new people.
My white dog with black spots looking almost like she is going to smooch this kissy faced white koi that also has black spots. The koi is coming to the surface and Penny is pulling g at the leash leaning over this shallow concrete rim to a koi pond at the Biltmore estate.
Spots recognize spots.
I love this poem.
"texture: flowers 004" in print. A new piece I created in homage to my art for NIN's "Things Falling Apart." I used a black mist filter and toy macro lens adapter on my 50mm f/1.4 to achieve a dreamy lo-fi look in-camera.
Only 8 of these left (thank you!) at robsheridan.storenvy.com/collections/...
An unusual statuette from Egypt's Late Period or Ptolemaic era, depicting an elegant #cat feeding her kittens. In this case, she's not a just a cat - she's Bastet, goddess of fertility, and protector of women and children. I love the kitten trying to give mama a kiss. 🐈⬛ 🏺 1/

Special thanks to @justingreenwoodart.bsky.social and @20eyesbrad.bsky.social for their beautiful cover art on my new novel, The Inevitable Dr. Entropy. Also thanks to @katwithsword.bsky.social for help in tightening up the story. Available now on Kobo: www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/...
Congratulations! It looks great!

What an outstanding photograph!
Dance photography must be fiendishly difficult, but photographers like Manos, Morgan & Martha Swope make it look easy.

A single batch of the widely prescribed anti-anxiety drug Xanax has been recalled, according to the FDA.
President Manbaby lashes out at the Pope by harming children.
I did not know this, thank you!
BREAKING: The U.S. bishops’ Committee on Doctrine just issued a formal statement defending Pope Leo XIV's teaching authority on just war doctrine — less than twelve hours after JD Vance told a Turning Point USA crowd the pope should “be careful” talking theology.
This is a serious escalation.
Yikes.
Oh, that looks cool. I hope we get physical editions here!
It is tax time so every self-employed person I know is talking about health insurance and the paradox that earning more money to pay for higher premiums then makes you ineligible for the subsidies so you actually end up with less $.
Fixing this mess is what our government SHOULD be working on.
