My nicest pen has my favorite ink: TWSBI Diamond stub with De Atramentis scented Cola ink.

There’s a certain peace to just unplugging and let the pen glide across the paper (or as my emo past called it “bleeding ink onto paper”)
But I never considered the possibility of using speech to text to get my physical writing onto the laptop, always used to type it out with my feeble 60wpm speed

Been getting into sketching after being overloaded with work lately and my experience so far:

Tutorial: Draw a circle and add marks and details.

> Tries to draw a circle
> Realizes how bad I’m at drawing circles
> realizes now I’m bad at drawing circles AND faces.

PS: It’s a me problem

For me I started wondering whether I really need to send a message to R so that a static text can be changed by the click of a button

Spongebob holding a piece of paper with the word The written in calligraphy

That’s a good motivation to go with 🔥 can’t wait to see your calligraphy practice pieces more than the final one 😌

Of course the book at the bottom reminded me of ‘The’ spongebob moment

Niceee 🫶 you can progress the medieval history arc by getting oblique pens or italic nibs 😆🥹

11 months ago 1 0 1 0

Yesss! I had a LAMY Safari in the Terracotta color with a fine nib.
My recs would be the TWSBI Go (still use it for journaling), Jinhao x750 and the pilot kakuno and metropolitan. I haven’t tried the pilot ones but I have heard they were good. Super excited to see the colors you pick 💅

11 months ago 1 0 1 0

Let’s gooo 🔥 I freaking love fountain pens too, are those fine nibs or extra fine?

I would recommend the tf+keras route since it’s less pythonic and works out of the box.
Personally I don’t use it because I felt a lot more consistent community support and less api changes for torch compared to tf.
