The urge to be a bad son and go to an LQ this weekend is strong, but my mother would strangle me if I missed Mother's day.
The match up is never a slam dunk though and they very much can give you trouble regardless. Turns out resolving an early relm is always scary.
It depends on the monsters variant. Mono water and water lightning are favorable for the most part, even without cloud, but fire water isn't great. The access to amaterasu is huge for them. Cloud does help by slowing them down and making you a bit less reliant on lb totto, though.
The Monsters match-up appears pretty bad from my results here, but that is not exactly the case. Those games were, unfortunately, where my deck kind of decided to brick a bit and with the amount of pressure they can generate quickly it's not a match-up where you can stumble a lot.

Came in 2nd at the LQ down in Georgia yesterday. Another playmat for the game room wall #fftcg
5-1 in the Standard event at the Winter Cup with Wols. Finished 5th out 64. It was a great weekend overall and it was good to see everyone again. Looking forward to events starting back up next month #FFTCG

Made it back home safe from Japan. Gonna need a small break from planes and airports for a bit.
Went 4-4 at world's this year. I did slightly better than I did last year, but not the result I had hoped for overall. I'm not mad though, just more motivation for next year's grind. #FFTCG

Went to teamLab Borderless today. It's quite a bit bigger than Planets. I went around it multiple times and kept finding new rooms.
Today was a day for pancakes
Today was a lazy day. Needed a small break after walking 7-8 miles every day since I got here. The izakaya we were planning to go to for dinner ended up being fully booked so we explored the area and found this Chinese dumpling place that was pretty good.
Today we went to Akihabara, with a side quest in Ueno to meet up with Ray and Kat so the ladies could get their nails done. Hit up a bunch of card shops and retro game stores while we were there. Ended up in bar and played beer pong with the staff to end the night.
Lmao just stumbled upon the Beyblade Asia championship while in Sunshine city.
Today was pretty busy. We went to teamLab Planets (it was Amethyst's first time there), checked out senso-ji and the surrounding area, and had sukiyaki for dinner.
Spent most of day two shopping and walking around Shinjuku. Ended the day with drinks and talking to a bartender who really loves samsung.
There's a CoCo that's a three minute walk from my hotel so continued the tradition of having that my first day in Japan.
