I can’t remember the last time I attended a critic screening where everyone clapped at the end. #Wicked is pure movie magic. Jon M. Chu lets his stars take the wheel and it pays off. Ariana’s physical comedy is masterful and Cynthia’s vocals will give you chills. Home run.

Watched Matewan (1987) last night. It would appear (based on a lack of awards) that the film, just like the movement by which it was inspired, was suppressed during the Reagan Era of 1987/88. Not only is this film still relevant today, but it should be taught in history classes as a cautionary tale.
