Star-Crossed Clusters: When Ages Are at Odds If you measure the age of a star using two different methods, do those ages agree? New research shows where our age estimates might be mismatched and what this disagreement could mean.

There’s more than one way to measure the age of a star in a cluster. But do different age-assigning methods agree? aasnova.org/2025/06/04/s... @ufresearch.bsky.social 🔭🧪

Thanks to @fredrasio.bsky.social, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that our first black hole image paper is in the top 5 most cited papers in the Astrophysical Journal Letters! I'm also sort of shocked that the top 5 cited papers are all about black holes or neutron stars, not exoplanets?! 🔭🧪

White House budget proposal could shatter the National Science Foundation “This kind of cut would kill American science and boost China.”…

The US government has been turned over to a group of extraordinarily ignorant people, and they are working to destroy science in this country. Cutting over half the NSF budget would save < 0.1% of the federal budget, but do incalculable harm. Simply heartbreaking.
