We should collect all the extraneous esses used at the end of Tesco in Britain and send them to the USA to be used at the end of math.

Well here's a twist, Bristow is struggling to reach a deal on the "free" parking with Peterborough council and he thinks the private sector will step in 🤡

You can lead the Daily Telegraph to an NHS story, but you can't make them report it accurately.

Phones to be banned in schools by law in England under government plans Education minister Jacqui Smith said the move would create

I suspect the government is going to get another crash course in the law of unintended consequences when pushing through overly restrictive knee-jerk policies without properly considering implications, especially, but not limited to, students with higher support needs.

Tipperary council seeks new law to compel walkers, cyclists, e-scooter users to don hi-vis Tipperary County Council's elected members have unanimously passed a motion to request the Minister for Transport to make it mandatory for these road users to wear hi-vis jackets or vests in the inter...

Who’s going to tell these councillors that the moment they step out of their cars, they’re pedestrians too? By their own logic, they’d need to be in hi-vis at all times.

Rather than tackling dangerous driving or poor road design, the responsibility gets dumped on the most vulnerable people instead.

Bots to blame for fake social media criticisms of London
Andy Silvester London Editor
Extreme right-wing and Russian-aligned groups are using artificial intelligence, bots and content farms in Nigeria and Sri Lanka to drive social media narratives that London is in decline, research published by City Hall shows.
Analysis of two years' worth of posts about London revealed "clear signs of co-ordinated and inauthentic activity" to "produce and amplify misleading, emotive or unverified claims."
Sir Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, said that the research revealed social media companies were profiting from an "outrage economy" driven by a
"dark blizzard of disinformation".
Since the pandemic there has been a noticeable rise in anti-London content on social media, much of it focused on crime, which tourism and hospitality leaders have warned is doing serious damage to the city's reputation.
According to the analysis, London-
related posting online has risen by about 7 percent since March 2024, while "London in decline" narratives increased by 150-200 percent over the same period. Migration-related narratives referencing London increased by more than 350 percent.
The research claims that extreme right-wing networks, as well as pro-Kremlin, pro-Beijing and Maga-aligned groups are behind a substantial amount of the anti-London content.
Though some crimes remain far more prevalent now than has been the case previously — particularly phone-snatching - the violent crime rate in London is at its lowest in decades.
London's murder rate is lower than almost any other major global city.
Declinist London narratives are not limited to automated accounts. Both President Trump and Nigel Farage have criticised crime in London, and Khan specifically, in recent months.
Oxford Street can become a thing of beauty, leading article, page 27

Reform’s Richard Tice posts picture with telltale signs of AI manipulation, say experts Tice’s image on X was almost certainly generated or altered using AI, according to Peryton Intelligence In a picture of a blue-skyed day in Birmingham, a diverse group of Reform supporters gathered with placards and cheesy grins to knock on doors for their party. Richard Tice, the party’s deputy leader, posted the picture as evidence of the activists’ commitment through thick and thin. “That is what resilience looks like,” he wrote. “This is what belief looks like.” Continue reading...

Today the Prime Minister will assure Parliament that there was no window, or if there was a window it did not break, and if it broke it was not from a ball, and if there was a ball there was no kick.

He will add that he is "furious" about the window that broke from a ball that was kicked. (By him.)

By repeating bollocks like "some children self identify as a cat and the schools have to provide litter trays" you are self identifying as a gullible moron.

Once upon a time there was a ruler who made a bad decision.

All the courtiers and servants knew it was a bad decision, but they put into effect the bad decision, for the ruler had already made and proclaimed the decision.

And when it turned out to be a very bad decision indeed, those courtiers and servants were sacked by the now “furious” ruler.

Clubs continuing to stay on Twitter and Instagram would suggest they're not that serious about it. And the same goes for the FA, Premier League, EFL, UEFA and FIFA.
