@nytopinion.nytimes.com Why do you platform Ross Douthat interviewing a sane-washed white supremacist and then not allow anyone to comment on the article?? This shit is offensive to many, and isn’t being approached with nearly the criticism that it deserves, it deserves a comment section.

That straw is red!
I find this HIGHLY unconvincing, and am incredulous that this was published in Cell. Cystatin C is highly unregulated in blood in CKD, yet CKD is associated with greatly increased risk of AD. This seems a mouse model fluke that does nothing to move forward AD research www.nature.com/articles/d41...
The story breaking about investigations of Jerome Powell, on a Sunday evening. Just waiting to see what degree of insider trading the regime has succeeded in doing around this predictable market reaction.
@nytopinion.nytimes.com has published one of the most odious pieces Ross Douthat has ever written, which is full of outright lies and mischaracterizations, including (but not limited to) the claim that the pandemic crime wave was started by the George Floyd protests.
None of these countries care about Venezuela, not one bit. Venezuela exports minimal amounts of oil to all of these states. Venezuela is only a major supplier to oil to Cuba, and Cuba isn’t exactly in a position to counter American military actions.
It should shock people that the president of the United States would endorse kidnapping a democratically elected president of an allied nation. Columbia has cooperated with the U.S. for decades, this is insanity.
So basically Donald Trump spent at minimum ~1.5 dollars to kidnap a foreign leader to stand trial in the US, without congressional approval, just cause he can?
The New York Times piece on the discharge petition today is going to age like sour milk, the snowball effect has already begun, there is no escape from the political gravity of the president of the United States being complicit in the sexual abuse of minors.
You know who was never mentioned in the Epstein files? Kamala Harris.
You know who never spent hours at Epstein’s house with an underage girl? Kamala Harris.
You know who Epstein didn’t say he had leverage on in his emails? Kamala Harris.
Y’all had a choice, and you chose Trump.
Seems pretty damning that Donald Trump knew this much about Epstein’s crimes, covered it up, and lied about it.
Why the FUCK would they give a Nobel Peace prize to a man who is ACTIVELY bombing boats in the Caribbean in contravention of international and American law???? Absolutely INSANE.
Touch. Grass.
So basically #columbia is capitulating to extortion to every university’s detriment. Once the administration knows it can extort schools for money they won’t stop. This is truly, unequivocally, the worst timeline.
Omfg I want one so bad 😭 that would look amazing on my desk
His judgement was already deeply in question, but damn he just keeps on going! The man has a serious lack of critical thinking skills.
Is anyone buying this catastrophe act?
Queer porn, unlike its straight cousin, is not consumed by the objectification of women. Any restrictions on porn broadly will hit queer creators the hardest. Of course an AEI fellow would ignore that aspect because they would love to see queer culture denigrated and decimated. Shame!
@nytopinion.nytimes.com of course you haven’t posted a link to Christine Emba’s piece and won’t allow any comments on it. I question deeply why you’re publishing AEI propaganda that narrowly focuses on straight porn while ignoring that a large part of porn available on the Internet is queer porn
I hate to be the broken record, but there is little ethical consumption under capitalism
Most products on Temu are made in southeastern China just like most of the products on Amazon.
For instance, every peice of electronics you buy has a substantial chance of containing rare earth minerals mined by children in the Congo. There are innumerable examples of this in products from Temu, from Amazon, and from major corporations like Apple. Temu is not uniquely bad.
This casts the weakest of aspersions on a small fraction of the products on Temu. Check out the app and you will quickly find out that almost none of the clothes they sell are made of cotton anyway. Yes forced labor is a horrible crime, but forced labor is a problem across all supply chains.
Why? They sell most of the same stuff Amazon sells, just directly from factories in China.
Imagine polling this right before tariffs started to hit Chinese sellers and the de minimus exemption ended. People across the country are about to get whole lot more pissed off. A bunch of people who didn’t give a shit about politics before.
Temu sold at least 50 BILLION dollars worth of goods in 2024 in the US. Today, that source was basically cut off for the foreseeable future. Normal people who just want to buy cheap stuff that makes them happy are going to be very very angry. The “find out” part is hitting now.
UET’s central argument is that the president represents the will of the American people who elected him so he should get to do whatever. But the American people were lied to repeatedly by him…..and they sure as hell didn’t elect Elon Musk and Pam Bondi. Seems like bullshit.
Oh so he doesn’t make the decision? He can delegate, at will, his power to make major choices to unelected and radical members of his cabinet? This seems to be exactly the scenario that undermines UET arguments.
The Trump administration has so far failed to address credible reports that JD Vance gave the pope a stroke, leading to his death. The Catholic public demands answers! #JDPopeKiller
