It’s too cloying. I can’t smell anything else.” That was probably the whole point of it, since demons didn’t have an innate smell. “I don’t mind it so much…” I admitted. Tetora stopped walking. “What was that?” “I said I like it.” “What do you even see in him?” Tetora scoffed, storming forward again. “He makes me laugh,” I answered carefully. “On the surface, he’s aloof and arrogant and even a bit tricksy… but underneath, he’s just as ridiculous as everyone else. He pretends he doesn’t really care for most things, but he does.” Tetora froze. With a full-body shudder, he replied, “Forget I ever asked.”
