Congrats Rebekah!!

I didn’t think Pragmata would be for me but after just over an hour it very much is. Desperate to keep playing. And Diana isn’t as annoying as I feared!
Just in time for Saros, and after 90 odd hours, I finally have the platinum in Returnal.
I had appalling luck trying to get all the cyphers. But still, what a game.
It was an absolute pleasure Lewis!!
Between this replay, reading the Expanse, reading and watching Project Hail Mary, watching The Martian…it’s safe to say I’m in a space mood.
Might even play Starfield next…
Obvs had to continue and finish the trilogy. ME3 has its cool moments but definitely the weakest and showing its age with both combat and straining to round off the story. Wish it wasn’t so buggy too.
But a fun nostalgia trip for sure, even forcing myself to be renegade.
Happy birthday!!
I have finally finished this!
Some of the plant stuff is a bit repetitive, if therapeutic, but there are so many cute details - as this thread shows.
Very happy with the end result! Hyyyaaaaaa!!
What I definitely don't want is an Ocarina remake. It's already perfect - give us something new!
Always enjoy @gamemakerstoolkit.com's videos, especially on Zelda.
This analysis between active and passive gameplay is exactly what I want from Zelda in future - open world, but with focused, linear dungeons. Surely there's a way to do this?!

Been reading the Expanse books which put me in a Mass Effect mood so about time I finally played 2 in the Legendary Edition.
It’s showing its age these days but still looks and plays great as a nostalgia trip. And I finally have the platinum.
Turns out Mario Galaxy is still brilliant all these years later.
Finished it last night ahead of the film release - it’s got a lot to live up to.
Deserved!!!
One of the absolute greatest!!!
I also think the story completely lacks a compelling villain.
Still, the puzzles and gunplay are fun and it appears to round off the original trilogy well enough, so I’m intrigued about what’s next.
For me? It’s Pokopia time. Though admittedly I really want to play Resi 1+2 again now.
Leon, meanwhile has become wholly unlikable. Gone is the fresh faced naive policeman, replaced by gruff action hero. There was an opportunity to face his trauma but he’s too busy quipping and being macho to show vulnerability. He’s just a cypher for fan service.
Grace’s return to classic Resi is very welcome, even if it relies too much on stealth for my taste.
The humanized zombies are a great addition but it’s criminally underused. I wanted more of this style throughout.
And that’s Resi Requiem done.
Had a blast playing it. But the more I think about it, the more I don’t think it reached its potential.
With the pendulum swing to horror extremes, neither style quite satisfies. I’d rather something in the middle, elegant, sophisticated and subtle.
Absolutely deserved!!!
He finally has hair! And a little korok friend in his head.
Two bags to go!
I can’t remember who but someone told me there weren’t any spiders in Resi 9.
They were very wrong.
That was HORRENDOUS.
And that’s 100%! What a brilliant little game!
(I am stopping now before the extra trial make me rage)
Back to Resi I go.
Was planning on playing more Resi tonight but I’ve got completely hooked on this instead.
What if Zelda but a twin stick shooter? It’s bullet hell meets heart pieces, dungeons, bosses, and breaking pots. It’s wonderful!
(Switch 2 but also Game Pass!)

I similarly struggled with the weird controls to defeat that turtle boss thing. I could not get the hang of it at all.
Super sad to see such talented people leaving Eurogamer. Sending my love to you all <3
Very happy to be working with you at last!!
