"Low-income households will get [free] plug-in solar panels to cut their energy bills, the Government has announced."
This is how you do a just transition.

Much better idea than 'we must subsidise gas bills' from the so-called 'Green' Party
Loads of people use them in flats in Germany.
Being non-permanent these should be exempt.
Plug in panels are comparable to a refrigerator or patio furniture.

Chart shows annual heating bills for medium-sized home with an oil boiler (£1,476), an LPG boiler (£1,473) and a heat pump (£784), all at current energy prices. The heat pump is considerably cheaper to run, saving over £650
The UK government has announced £9,000 subsidies for households with oil and LPG boilers to get a heat pump.
This is seriously good deal for rural homes - not only does it lower the upfront cost, a mid-sized home could save over £650 a year by switching from oil to a heat pump at current prices...
Things have moved on and you might be surprised what they can make work these days. Have a look at R290 heat pumps - they can run efficiently at higher temps. And find a 'Heat Geek' certified installer.

When you've sunk a lot of money in a hare-brained biogas scheme and you see an actually workable energy technology getting all the attention...
Roofs & car parks is literally whats being pushed by fossil shills to undermine renewable roll-out. Because it's much, much more expensive than sticking them in a field.
Nothing new, remember that HS2 thing?
Donald Trump has become so politically toxic in Europe that even his closest ideological allies increasingly view him as a liability.

Well TBF the opposition haven't got much to offer either
IIRC in polls Starmer wins a two way toss-up against everyone except Ed Davey.
I used to work with a bloke we called Teflon Tony
Starmer it seems is the PTFE Prime Minister.
Some people the sh*t just don't stick...

Solar car parks are being aggressively promoted by fossil shills (including, it now seems, the Green party)
Why? because it's much, much more expensive than sticking them in a field. The same is true for houses, shops etc.

And make it the responsibility of platforms to identify AI when it's not tagged by the user.
A HUGE, narrative-breaking moment for the UK car market
New EVs are now cheaper than petrol cars on average, says Autotrader
Last yr CCC said price parity was due by 2028 – and it's already here
And EVs are already MUCH cheaper to run than petrol
Asia was supposed to be an enormous growth market for LNG.
Not anymore. Shortages, spiking prices, massive uncertainty. Asia is moving to renewables instead

‘Amid this fog of war, two points are clear: the world is sliding ever deeper into an era of geoeconomics, where economic policy is a tool of political contestation; and there is now an urgent need for nations and companies to become more resilient to shocks.’ www.ft.com/content/0463...
I'll give a counter example here - Ethernet broke into the teleco space, against stiff resistance from OEMs and incumbent operators with a large legacy install base
But in less than 10 years, Ethernet became the default standard WAN interface, sweeping away earlier protocols like ATM and SDH/SONET
I see we're now at the 'stock tips from shoe shine guys' stage of the AI hype cycle. If this isn't a clear sign of a bubble about to burst I don't know what is.
This is going to be the example everyone gives in 20 years about the lunacy of our times. It will be to the AI bubble what pets.com was to the tech bubble.
This is the real reason why Putin can't stop.
Without war spending, the true state of the underlying economy will be revealed, and it will make the 90's collapse look like a picnic.
This chart shows why I'm pretty indifferent about potential oil shortages; most air travel is discretionary and it's not hard for people to drive a bit less. Bigger concern rn is fertilizer & it's impact on food, plus things like ceramics workers loosing their livelihoods with no social safety net.
US fertilizer since Feb 28th:
Nitrogen-based is up sharply. Nice margins if made w/ cheap US nat gas.
DAP/MAP/Potash is blah. DAP & MAP are not cheap but the sulfur input has really squeezed margins. Mosaic makes all three and the stock is dog meat, below book value.

Let's not forget here that T31 and Ajax are both accidental anti-drone systems. They could be extremely useful platforms with a little imagination, optimization & tactics.
