Freaking crazy. In a country that prides itself on a written constitution, due process, and rule of law… the last few years are like waking up in a twilight zone episode every day

My new studio showed up today. A lot of work yet to be done before I move in, but the structure is in place!

People are more important than things.

This is true even if those things are software programmed to flirt with us and talk like a person and billionaires are pretending that those things have souls.

People are still more important than things.

Rewatching “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and The fact that this show was canceled is a travesty.

Unless I’m one of the three books they’re going to push that year, might as well go indie

I’m not a huge fan of legacy publishing. They still take a giant cut and do significantly less for their creators. So if we’re going to handle the audience building, marketing, promotion, etc … then why would I give a big publisher a huge cut of the profits?

1. Psylock
2. Rose Cotton
3. Cassandra Kane
4. The ships computer (I’d have better answers for Buck Rogers)
I have zero reasons for any of these…

Love it.
Also, crowdfunding a collection of the books you’ve finished would be awesome. I’d be first in line to pledge

Seriously. It will die under its own weight if debt and incompetence if we just ignore it

Don’t help them build Big Brother.

Seriously.

You are going to spend a LOT of hours in that chair, so make sure it's comfortable and supports your back well. Spend the extra money for a good one.

A good chair is the difference between some back pain the rest of your life and ALL the back pain the rest of your life.

Me. Smoking my pipe. In the smoke are the words "Comic Book Dad".

Me. Smoking my pipe. In the smoke are the words "Comic Book Dad".

I've given a lot of advice about making comics over the years, but believe me when I say that this is the single most important bit of advice you're ever going to hear if you are going to be a comic book creator --

Buy a comfortable chair.

Internet Archive: Digital Library of Free & Borrowable Texts, Movies, Music & Wayback Machine

I’m trying to do something right with my kids, 4&7 year olds, are both extremely excited about these tiny mp3 players I got them and loaded up with public domain audiobooks… it’s the most technology they’ve ever had. Librovox and archive.org ftw!

John Adams and the Line a Republic Must Not Cross Virtue and the Use of Power.

A valuable read about the core of a republic. "Cruelty, even when legal, corrodes civic trust. It teaches citizens that power is something to fear rather than something they collectively own. It signals that consent is no longer the foundation of governance."

Alright! I’m going to bed to read comics on my iPad until my mind gives up its desire to make sense of the absurdity of the universe and I can be unconscious. Goodnight all!
