The club’s last FA Cup tie at the
Goldstone – a replay against Sudbury Town – was lost 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out. Sudbury’s goalkeeper, Steve Mokler, bagged the winning spot-kick.

A £4,000 cheque was presented to Dick Knight on the pitch at Gillingham.
