unfortunately I set my twitter picture to a baby hippopotamus back in october when I was afraid of being perceived (and fired) by elon & I don’t really want to bring that here

at the time, we really thought we were going to be able to build something interoperable with bluesky; but I'm thrilled to see bluesky thriving either way :')

• reviewing the early bluesky architecture docs on the train ride there
• seeing that the elon acquisition was finalized on the way back

Interesting to see the user expectation gap between web2 and next gen. Average users expect to see rapid iterations, meanwhile next gen platform requires coordination between product and protocol layers
