Happy to answer any questions you have about my surgery. It only became necessary when the disk bulge was pinching nerves into both legs so I started losing the ability to walk due to numbness. I have other disk bulges and my neurosurgeon recommends physio as they don’t affect limb or other function
I can only speak about my experience and I am not a dr or researcher so have no idea about recovery and success rates. I had a fusion done at L4/L5 in Jan ‘20 and had very good results. Physio prior to surgery definitely helped. Mine was a 20 year old herniation, treated with only physio until then.

Had a gastroscopy today and apparently I do not have a hiatus hernia OR a polyp in the duodenum but I do have a stomach ulcer. Which begs the question - whose report did I receive last time I had one of these done? Do hiatus hernias fix themselves? Do polyps pack their bags and leave?
