Yeah I’m sure it did to done extent. School closures were a bigger driver though, I think. I personally came across many in that camp.

D&G Services got $49 million over 116 contracts...just a tad short of $8 billion.

Sheinbaum offered Trump the same 10k soldiers she gave Biden in 2021. Trudeau offered Trump the same border package he introduced in December. Trump backed down and accepted both. Trump is a paper tiger, like he was with Kim Jung Un and the "Great China deal" with Xi.

Yup. This has to be front and center in Dem messaging. Trump's tariffs are a national tax that kill jobs and raise prices.

Trump has said this crap forever and a lot of people just rolled their eyes, thinking he'd never act on it. I mean, he has zero understanding of how trade can benefit both parties. But now we get to see it all in action. People will only respond differently when they feel the actual pain.

This whole thing will either get shut down in courts or get almost no takers bc nobody will trust it.

I’m glad that she is going to keep doing what she has been doing. Trump seems to think he’s responsible for this but that’s typical of him.

It was from THIS year. So yes, too late to stop earlier migrants, but has been in effect for several months.

That wasn’t a new promise. Read her full response.

Mexico’s President didn’t promise to do anything different than what she agreed to with Biden.

I worry the next nominee will actually be effective.

About the election and the transition.

I was able to read it by using Google translate from my phone-camera. This quote is me saying Trump is putting loyalty to the test re: his Cabinet appointments and GOP loyalty in the Senate.

This was fun. I was interviewed by Asahi TV to talk about the election and the transition. I don't know Japanese at all so I don't know what the words over my face mean...But the interview was an hour and they used a lot of footage from it!

Had a nice experience keynoting a symposium on East Tennessee's Civil War this weekend. The war was a complicated mess in the Switzerland of America.

1) MAGA but credible: Ratcliffe, Stephen Miller, Homan, Witkoff, Collins, Sauer, Blanche
2) Standard GOP: Burgum, Rubio, Stefanik, Zeldin, Waltz
3) MAGA brain rot: Gabbard, RFK Jr, Gaetz
Noem and Hegseth straddle MAGA/credible and MAGA/brain rot. Huckabee straddles MAGA/credible and standard GOP

There are three types of Trump appointees:
1) MAGA but credible
2) Standard GOP
3) MAGA brain rot
All are personally loyal to Trump, but the rest of the GOP and the country will view the appointees very differently. Some appointees probably straddle two categories.
