Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so I’m gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.

"a powerful entity appropriates some resource, declares
that they have a right to it, extracts value from that resource, and accrues the profits, all of which poses an existential threat to the people from whom that resource was appropriated"
Perfect.

Of course, the article also doesn't mention that this was done in service of banning trans people from public spaces.
Instead, they let the legislator run wild saying this about "men" in women's locker rooms and "protecting children's innocence."
This is how gender fascism advances.
Media needs to stop with "critics say" and just quote the actual language of the bill.
HB 249 creates a new category of "seminudity" which can be used to arrest women who aren't nude, but are wearing clothing — leggings, t-shirts without bras — that religious groups feel is too provocative.
A drawing of the artist walking around with a silly smile, while a carabiner holding keys, connected to her pants, is making loud CLINK CLANK CLONK sound. Above her is a thought bubble with a robot bearing the caption "Lesbotron 3000", also making loud CLINK CLANK CLONK sounds.

The fact that every major police union endorsed Donald Trump is under appreciated in our political discourse.
I remember in 2020 you could literally go to a reddit with dozens and dozens of videos of police violence. Evidence everywhere. And our Dem government responded to being elected in response to protests against that by saying, “wow, look at all those individual, non-systematic events.”
We’ve proven that a catch-all called “police” doesn’t work. They think anyone not them is a criminal. They protect property over people. They turn into extortion groups.
I want crisis managers dealing with domestic disputes. Addiction specialists dealing with addicts.
Police are skilled in none.
come on man.

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business.

Is this anything
Fishtopher, a classic brown tabby cat with green eyes, laying on his back in a sunny windowsill. His head presses against the ground and his canine teeth peek out from gravity. Behind him is a black cat in a yellow cat bed. Next to him is another tabby cat. Fish's body is curled to fit himself in between them, and his front paws are tucked towards his body.
Fishtopher in the same position as the last photo, but now has his front legs stretched out. He shows off his underbelly.
oooh big stretch
