I don’t like to be this way, but I just think Ryan Lizza’s AI experiments are so poorly informed even as they are clarifying to me as an analyst. Listen friends, prototypes don’t scale. You need design work and domain knowledge. My god the great software crash 💥 of 2027++ is going to be epic.

How interesting that 'the pope' of American apocalyptic white Christian nationalism never goes to church on Sunday morning but instead picks that time to tweet out genocidal threats to kill millions of people

I have grown to simultaneously despise and pity my own party. I can only assume that Dem party elites are generally satisfied with the turn of events.Offers them a pristine and tidy moral high ground they don’t actually have to work to achieve. Why risk that? MTG has been more principled.

We need more folks in the Senate who know what it means to stretch $20 until the end of the month.

Black women deserve to be heard, protected, and cared for with dignity.

The Black maternal health crisis is real, and too many lives are at risk because our healthcare system continues to fail Black mothers.

I’ve been working in Congress for nearly a decade to fix it.

This is an epically flawed idea. Trump needs to be boxed in and isolated. He is a very sick and dangerous man.

I get this, but most people cannot afford this transition. It’s absolutely prohibitive for many people to buy, even the minisplits. Same with solar. Imagine if we’d just solarized homes instead of jacking around with utility scale solar. We have a huge market problem.

Never mind that COVID causes actual amnesia in some people—like me. During my infection last year, I had no short term memory. It was terrifying.

Fairly certain the political scientists are drunk. It’s understandable, really. Been a long era.

Indicators of despair rising among Gen X-ers entering middle age In 2016, a surprising decline in life expectancy was ascribed to "deaths of despair" among working-class middle-aged white men displaced by a changing economy. However, new research shows indicators o...

The # of people I know/know of who have unalived themselves is large. This 2019 story stuck with me re: Gene-ers -> "Public health efforts to reduce...despair should not be targeted toward just rural whites, for example...we’re finding that these patterns are generalized across the population.”

This is sad—a longtime, earnest struggle for survival. I remember the feeling when at our little, wonderful school the president was caught selling beloved works of art out the back door of the museum. Its a gut punch to lose your alma mater, especially if it shaped you so profoundly.

My experience in tech leads me to believe that all members of tech bro executive management (particularly CMO types) ought to be default considered as members of the grifter class.

It's not just that Orbán losing inspires hope in other competitive-autocratic countries ruled by right-wing nationalist authoritarians. It's that his loss materially changes things in those other countries, because he's been operating as a headquarters and funding source...

If Orban uses the fraud playbook and ends up inverted like Mr. Mussolini, that will scare the bejesus out of the Trump regime. What happens in Hungary in the next day predicts our own future in many ways, much like Brexit. It’s political leapfrogging.
