Ahh, but there's the trick; they gradually erode our standard of living, our public services, stagnate our wages, make it unaffordable to do anything other than breathe and then, at election time they use the 'fear card' , screaming "it'll be worse under the other lot, so you'd better vote for us!"

I bet Ten-Hag is laughing like a drain right now and so he should. A good manager and a good man, who was hounded out of a old Trafford by a ghoulish media and the awful corporates of #manutd

Ok, so where's the funnies at? You know; all the dumb stuff that we used to come together and laugh at, on the other place?

Incredibly depressing day. I've spent my entire life being told by British governments how dreadful immigration is. New Labour did it. The Coalition. The Brexiters. Now Starmer. All of them accusing the ones who came before them of failing to clamp down. The same old vacant mean-spirited bollocks.

Petition: Commission a public inquiry into the impact of the UK exiting the European Union Given that it has stated its aim of growing the UK economy, we think the Government needs to quantify the effects of exiting the European Union as soon as possible by setting up an inquiry.

1408 signatures are now required by Thursday

We can do this

Every movie I've ever seen is telling me your house is super haunted.

Sorry, I don't make the rules.

Isn't it always the way; the top blaming the bottom for chronic failures of leadership and strategy?

I once got a 24 hour suspension for calling Nigel Farage a "Toad-faced cretin".... Worth it.

And let me tell you, trying to get 2022, offshore "support"staff to understand the concept that the Email account I need to verify, before I can authorise the merger, has never existed and I never had any access to, was an absolute waste of time. In the end, I gave up and moved on.

Had an EA account, set up automatically back in the day by FIFA 07 or some such, using a dummy email generated by the launcher....the email never existed and I never had access to it. 16 years later, this dickhead tries to merge this old account with his new one (that's linked to his Xbox account)

If you care about the future of the NHS & you see this on Boxing Day, please could you share this?

If we want privatisation to be removed from the NHS, NHS campaigners like me have a *lot* of work to do next year andโ€ฆIโ€™d just like to see if people care enough about this for our campaigning to workโ€ฆ

Any of my fellow Brits and Europeans feel the "Discover" tab is far too weighted in favour of our American cousins (all mostly moaning about the orange flan-man)?

Unfollowd a LOT of USA based accounts yet, it doesn't seem to have made a difference ๐Ÿ˜’

Every month that passes by, our towns and cities are crumbling into some sort of Soviet Era hell-hole. Nobody has any money, so the shops are mostly boarded up and those that aren't, sell the cheapest crap for the lowest price they can make a profit from.

It's managed decline on a national scale.

When I left X, I left 260000ish followers who cared about the NHS.

This is bad because the NHS is in a state of emergency and EveryDoctor has just launched an important petition. If you can see this, please could you follow me and share this? ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿšจ

I think so far Iโ€™ve found about 10% of my Twitter gang. If you care about the NHS could you possibly follow me and share this, so I can try to find more? Iโ€™ll follow you back! Ju ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

I would argue that the privatisation of BT hasn't been a total disaster but then, having being born in the mid seventies, I've never known anything else or what it was like, as a nationalised entity.

โ€œDonโ€™t feed the trollsโ€ also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

Itโ€™s not easy and takes constant practice!

You should come over to Britain.. We've been living in a hell-hole for 14 year with no end in sight. Nice.

Been here about a week and loving it so far. My only grumble/ wish is that we could move the 'refresh' feed button, to avoid accidently doing so, when I'm left-hand browsing.

Pretty irritating but still better here with that, than being on the hellsite.
