Raring to go with selkie. Thinking about my writing process name main charas (this is what solidifies my intention to complete) optional: collect visual references for charas jot down plot ideas on paper (non-chronological) chronologize it, shepherding scenes into a linear order (flexible) title (rarely changes once I've settled on one) go I don't allow myself to outline for longer than 3 days, and I know that I have a 10 day sprint window for completing work. If it takes longer than 10 days, we're in trouble. Prob why I prefer short-form. For selkie, steps 1-5 are complete. It's just a matter of working up the nerve to spit out the first few sentences into ellipsus. I've been pre-writing in my head tho. Something something waves rocking a trawling vessel, omniscient POV

here we go. first yap of the season. it's been a hot minute since i got to work on any personal prose because i've been so focused on writing comms (and had a week where i hyperfixated on a cultural angst vore VN), but i've been DYING to start a story that's been jangling around in my head... i'm shooting for 8-9k, just a nice smutty short about a pathetic selkie twink and the misanthropic menopausal conservationist he's in a rut for (image of a seal and stick figure side by side. the seal is saying "mommy im gonna cum inside you" and the stick figure is saying "what the fuck") a very normal doodle i found in my notebook... every time i start a new story, i always go through this phase of being terrified to put the first sentence down. what if its bad? uwu. bitch shut up you are merely isolating your kink into letters of the alphabet the stakes are not that high!!!! *taps the sign* MAKE IT SHITTIER
