If you live in a climate that supports it, there are some beautiful succulents and cacti that can protect the other plants from “driveby” plant mauling. Sorry you had to deal with that.

Yeah, first edition Deadlands used cards (as in a deck of poker cards) for initiative and spell casting (simulating you playing a card game against a demon/spirit). It was a blast!
I am a ttrpg game master. I’ve run games off and on for 30ish years. Recently started one of my friends stepped up to DM our group in DnD5e. It has been a blast being a player.
But I miss running games! I may have to “cheat” on my friend group to DM for strangers.

My coworker went through a nasty divorce from an abusive asshole. Her family is pissed at her because they like him and want her to get back with him.
I just wish people close to you could just listen, acknowledge, and accept how you feel. It’s hard when it’s family making you feel worse.

Of course you should be allowed. From long experience, I can tell you exactly how healthy it is to crush those feelings down and lock them away.
Also, everyone is allowed their opinion, but you are not beholden to anyone! Just because it’s uncomfortable, doesn’t make it invalid.
