Plants seem to have personalities. I have a couple gorgeous rogue tulips at the base of a Japanese maple (maybe part of a bulb was in backfill soil when we planted it). Grape hyacinths are slowing moving around the yard. A few other tulips date back to first owner of our house (‘70’s). Magic.

Trial and error really are the best teachers, for so many things!
I can see a connection between quilting and gardening too—taking bits and pieces, sometimes salvaging them, to make a new whole, often over a long time,

Gorgeous!
However, the indefatigable Junk-O’s have progressed to sitting in the nest, ferrying worms and mouthfuls of moths to each other, up there under the porch roof. May be time to set up the emergency lounge chair/slide beneath pretty soon, in case a baby bird ejects. 🤓
