It seems to me insane that a monarchy has leaders that are subject to the rule of law, while a so-called constitutional democracy does not.

Biblical focus suggests wealth is a far graver sin than LGBT actions. Since heterosexuals often cause more harm, the Church should continue to shift its focus from condemning the LGBT community to holding the wealthy accountable to the poor and marginalized in society, including LGBT individuals.

Those who say otherwise are not agents of Christ, but rather, are agents of the Adversary.

This is not the case. Our God is the God of the immigrant, the sojourner, the dispossessed, the marginalized, and the oppressed. He has favor with those who are without. The scriptures, old and new, and ESPECIALLY the Gospels, the testament of God incarnate show this.

There is no way to morally justify the murder of Renee Nicole Good. The people who do so are anti-moral agents pretending to act on behalf of Christianity. But because Christianity has been so conflated with the political right, people think that authentic Christianity is a cruel faith

Regardless of what you think of Maduro, a capitalist, US backed, likely dictatorial regime will be no better. Democracy, by definition comes from the people, and not from the foreign overthrowing of a domestic regime, dictatorial or not.

Capitalism doesn't produce bad products, it just produces good products unethically

In other words, even if Trump isn’t an Epstein level pedo, he was at least complicit in Epstein’s crimes. His failure to act and his second term tendency to stack the gov’t with loyalists means that skepticism toward official DOJ statements is warranted, absolutely.

In regard to Trump and the Epstein files:

Trump didn’t need to be an active participant to bear responsibility. His proximity to Epstein, failure to act, and insistence on loyalty over accountability make moral complicity and skepticism toward official defenses justified.

Capitalism forces 3% of the population to commit injustice against 97%, while 97% are forced to endure injustice from the 3%.

My economic views are much more influenced by those of John Stuart Mill and the Ricardian socialists, than by Marx.

Under a market socialist economy, the average annual income per worker in the US would go up from ~$65,000 ➡️ ~$90,000. Then, with an average tax rate of 36%, a full set of basic services could be funded.

There would still be a small level of inequality, & so taxation would of course be progressive.

A little flow chart I made to explain the decentralized, democratic model of market socialism for which I advocate.

“Do not trust in sacrifice of the fruits of extortion,
For he is a God of justice,
who shows no partiality.
He shows no partiality to the weak
but hears the grievance of the oppressed.
He does not forsake the cry of the orphan,
nor the widow when she pours out her complaint.”

Anti-Latin-American xenophobia is rooted in anti-indigenous racism.

Basically all wealth above that would be taxed at 100%, but it would still leave billionaires with, on average, $200,000 a year until they turned 130, which is the biological ceiling for human lifespan. So it’s honestly being generous.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how billionaires simply shouldn’t exist and it’s very idealistic, but I would totally support a marginal wealth tax of 100% above 12.28 million dollars.

Why do general strikes not happen in the US, while remaining common in Europe, despite being an effective way to push for social and political change besides just economic?

Basically, the US has criminalized mass, labor-driven collective action, while many European countries still protect it.

The state exists merely to promote political, economic, ecological and social justice; not to wage war, not to exclude the foreigner, not to legislate against victimless moral wrongs, not to own or direct the economy, and not to protect the wealthy.

The working class naturally tends toward the full ownership of the fruits of its labor. It is the state which protects the capitalist class from this natural tendency while the capitalist society at large brainwashes the working class into believing that capitalism is the true natural tendency.

I want to travel to Europe this summer, but with all the recent plane crashes, I can’t help suspecting it’s linked to Trump’s “anti-DEI” policies that led to firing qualified POC air-traffic controllers.
It assumes that POC are unable to do their jobs by default and that endangers everyone.

Falastin was an Arab Christian newspaper and in 1936 it featured a portrayal of Zionism as a crocodile to the Arab people with the caption “Do not be afraid!!! I will swallow you peacefully…”

Christians have been opposed to Zionism since the beginning.

Unfortunately I could not be there today, but God willing, I shall be there next Saturday to serve those at the margins of society.

Goodnight, God bless you all, and may we continue the work of creating a world “where it is easier to be good”.

St. Francis of Assisi,
lover of the poor and herald of peace,
teach me simplicity of heart,
to love all creation as the handiwork of the Creator,
and to see in every living being a reflection of the divine goodness.

St Francis of Assisi is the namesake of the House of Hospitality in which I work.
