Apple’s Test Flight only work on devices set to users 13+, which means I can’t have my 8 year old test apps for whom I’m designing. 🤦♂️
having dinner out with Thing 1 the other night, the restaurant had AI generated music videos playing in the background. She began to pick out all the AI mistakes in the video.
I asked: Do you guys like having things made by AI or people.
Her: We prefer things made by people.

Hey Tesla-stan, remember? T is not a car (ev) company anymore. It’s in autonomy. No need to be sour on people who took the hint and are looking elsewhere.

oh and before all this, how many buttons there were in the car denoted how cool the car was
buttons on the steering wheel was the automaker’s answer to keep drivers eyes on the road…
then they decided to put every button on the steering wheel so you have to look down to find it anyway.
I’m old enough to remember buttons in cars were a distraction because it took eyes off the road as drivers tried to find the right ones.
The advice was to pull over to change your settings.
meanwhile, I still don’t remember what the buttons on the back of my steering wheel in our Pacifica are for

Pantone Hot Wheels! Had no idea these were a thing!
May?
US will be left out.
There shouldn’t be any doubt.

“Whether you’re considering an electric vehicle because of gas prices or climate change, there has probably never been a better time to buy a used EV.”

😔 heard of another case on that Ford carrier. The sailor lost 50+ pounds due to malnutrition … in addition to the bathroom problems. I’m so ashamed of how we’re treating our uniform services personnel and vets.
Average new car price is $50k. There are quite a few EVs below that price, and many more used EVs available now.
I know not everyone can afford it, and it’s not an option for some (like wheelchair bound people with cerebral palsy. However, many Americans can be driving EVs now but don’t.
Good EVs are already here.
No need to wait for Chinese EVs to come — politics will make sure it will take forever.
No need to wait for next gen batteries — you don’t travel that far, and if you do there are chargers in many more places now.
The pessimist in me says: “not in the US”
1. we’ve had many gasoline price hikes in the past 25 years and not many people adopted hybrids.
2. last time gas was up at $5 was when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. when the tax credit came back not many bought EVs compared to gas guzzlers.
uh, congratulations?
Felix: what? it’s my stick and you can’t have it.
This post is another reminder that disabilities are a spectrum of physical challenges. Just because something is designed for universal accessibility doesn’t actually mean it will work for everyone.
Good job to North Face, now do more.

needless to say, an electric accessibility van cannot come soon enough; like most things in life, accessibility is the last to be catered for. It is not quickly profitable, would not benefit "the most", and probably the hardest to design for because there are wide ranging spectrum of disabilities.
Yesterday's $70 of gas was for my daughter's accessible van that was purchased for roughly $80k. That much fuel would take us about 350 miles. Similarly, our Rivian was valued at $80k, has similar if not worse aero can go 1160 miles on $70 of electricity.
It is expensive to be disabled.
