Of course, visibility and opportunities are still an issue in the games media space, in that we do in fact need more writers of diverse backgrounds, but I think it also behooves those interested to go out there and find those different voices they want to hear from.

I have the kind of neurodivergence that responds to people categorically saying "no X did this" by obsessively searching for the one, few or many examples of otherwise, so this is the kind of skeet that delights me. Women reviewers exist, you just need to look around a bit to find them!
A young woman with dark hair and glasses in a hoodie shirt with a denim jacket sits in front of a poster depicting various emotional states. It's Alex Chen, the protagonist of Life is Strange: True Colors.
Where Deck Nine got it right was with True Colors, in which Alex Chen's empathokinetic abilities peel open the psychological context of the actions of those around her. It has a thinner plot that Max's first adventure but contextualizes pain and grief for Haven Springs and for Alex.
A tattooed bouncer in a brown shirt points his finger disapprovingly at a young woman with brown hair wearing a dark jacket. The young woman is Chloe, the protagonist of Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
This is why Before the Storm misses the mark with Chloe's Backtalk ability. Not because it isn't a paranormal skill but because it does nothing to explore and expand what's going on with her and Rachel Amber. The story is... okay. But it would be better if Backtalk or any other skill did anything.
This. Life is Strange is at its best when zeroes in on the blissful and melancholy qualities of one's younger years. It's not Heroes, junior edition, it's literally about how life is strange and the superpowers are simply a clarifying device for protagonists who don't have the wisdom of age.
Listen, I probably spend more time and money on the Marvel dogshit factory than I should but this is fucking bullshit. KF and the gang want us to fork money over again to see a movie we already saw to understand the next, assuming we aren't already on the fence? Fuck you, don't be weird and greedy.
God forbid the world should be made comfortable to be in. Everything has to become an app, or service or bullshit, all served with ads that are explicitly designed to confuse people into making mistakes so they can steal their money for no reason.
transphobes are the weirdest losers on the whole planet
more philosophically, the space and capacity to do hobbies while on the closest equivalent to active duty is what separates trek's future of fully operated space socialism from other mil-SF, something the newer shows struggle to communicate alongside the necessary complication of "utopia takes work"
If you are able to help support our site migration that would be amazing! I am very bad at asking for help but right now, @butwhytho.net needs it.
We have to get set up on a new host, work with a dev, and our old host still has not refunded us the $3k they took.
Anything helps!
It gives me the same energy as To Wong Foo's "Places for Homos"
Who knows what Messr. Mark means by 'pure' all I know is that he is a diet shamer
AI could never make something like this
I bet it was very easy too because he seems very stupid.
What a pathetic worm thing to think, and unsurprising for a man with enough ego to think it was fine to say out loud on record.
There's an underlying conspiratorial belief with the "anti-woke" crowd that game developers are being forced to write queer characters or stories, it's just another serving of barely reheated "cultural marxism" really, but there's nobody forcing anything, it's not being pushed down anyone's throats.
I briefly considered connecting with you on LinkedIn but felt like it would be an affront to God
This piece dropping so close to when The Telegraph published an opinion piece about Greta Thunberg's existence threatening social order by making women 'radical' really has me going ๐ค
Honestly I would assume that when presented with a dark castle, Kaz would choose to enter it.
"We started cooking and then chose to stop."
guys, this is how you lose the time war
I meant deets, what a goddamn typo.
Omg why did they make the [?] blocks ugly???
Business cards are so much more efficient than trying to give your phone number or online contact deers. You can also be cool as hell when you pull them out.
Text in the style of a janky capitalized sans serif font, like that of a classic anti-piracy ad from the 1990s: "YOU WOULDN'T CUSTOMIZE A MILF"
I misread this post as about "heavily customized milfs" and did not question it for several seconds because have you seen your reposts
The Internet was a beautiful thing for a while. It is now exclusively for people who are mentally ill. One might think that would make it a niche product, but it remains mainstream by making more and more people mentally ill.
Well *now* I want to start one!
Double Fine remasters like Grim Fandango and Full Throttle feature commentary modes! I also quite like the commentary feature for Deus Ex: Human Revolution which I found really illuminating in terms of how a new team comes together to revive a moribund IP.
