I absolutely feel this! The amount of times I've said hello to a black t-shirt in some corner of the house, thinking it was one of the cats is beyond count. It goes the other way too ... there have been some close calls when black cats sleeping on black blanket nearly got sat on!

As some of you know, my youngest makes movies with their friends. I was approached with the offer of an Executive Producer credit if I would fund the props for their next venture. One of the items was a baseball bat. I looked at the prices on Amazon & said "I'm sure I could make that in no time!"

Last winter I rescued a nice piece of hardwood from a neighbour's skip. Today I processed it into a few nice blanks & finished this lovely shallow dish. There are a couple of visible nail holes in the piece that (to me, at least) show it's history & are part of it's story.
