1.5mM Ca2+, and I wouldn't read too much into those currents, probably just a quirk of the seal. I've never really seen anything like that before and it wasn't reproduced, just caught in my excitement of getting evidence that I was successful in patching two cells at the same time

Bottom is UBC, top is fusiform cell. UBC patch wasn't the greatest in the world, but they're tiny little cells so they're hard enough to patch as is.

One of the most humbling things about my PhD so far is thinking I've done a thorough literature review and then out of nowhere I find a paper or review that I've never seen before, filled with new info. The caves of knowledge are always deeper 🫠
