Let’s start saying Trunp is pro-cancer.

As history nerds we are seeing the thing we always asked “why did no one fight”

And labor found wages good because they were in such demand the rich HAD to appease them, while enjoying the apex of American new deal programs and protections.

Yet I went to a top tier, ranked 12th in the entire state of California, high school. Most of the graduating class are doctors, lawyers, engineers and more.

They are smart people but... they voted for Trump over "price of eggs".

I still hate the narrative that Harris was "last minute" chosen as the vice president ON the ticket.

the big problem with the current obsession a lot of analysts/media have with video games increasing their standard retail price is that "would you rather play our game for 70 dollars or fortnite for free" is already a value comparison almost every 70 dollar game loses and reflects in their sales

This is a NIRCam (Near-Infrared Camera) image from the James Webb Space Telescope of the "Cosmic Cliffs" in the Carina Nebula. The image is dominated by textured formations of gas and dust in warm tones of orange, brown, and gold, resembling a rugged cliff face. Bright, star-forming regions are visible within the cliffs, glowing with a soft light. The top portion of the image shows a transition to a deep blue, star-filled space. Numerous distinct stars are scattered throughout the image, some displaying a starburst effect from the telescope's optics.

And as a gamer from the early 90s to now... I cannot think of any game that was "broken" on release like I can these days.

I will agree in theory but as it is part of the industry they get the blame just by being part of the system. As a lawyer... one say one hell of a class action suit is going to be leveled at a developer.

Yeah, I cannot stress how good of a game that is. Does it excuse the launch? NOOOOOO.

Nintendo still operates on “cartridges made by Nintendo” so they enjoy a profit off of production. It is not denouncing their products but pointing out the very system that gave rise to Xbox and PlayStation is what made Nintendo produce “bug free” on launch games.

Like… why is zoo tycoon so expensive? All the DLC makes the game waaaay better but it also makes it $150-$200.

I will say gaming recession. One of the “AAA” companies fails but others remain intact enough to change their sales model.

Still so upset over Cyberpunk 2077. The game right now is amazing, nuanced, funny, and all the things you want in a RPG. When it came out? Unworkable, useless and I still feel ripped off.

I live in Bakersfield.

Y’all need to pay attention. 25-75% of workers are not going to work. This is going to be a big and huge issue. Why? Cause MAGA wants deportations.

“Eggs are expensive” seemed to ring true to far too many people who have absolutely no idea how the economy works.

the argument goes, "During my patrol hours I witnessed the suspect at X and Y displaying what appeared to be street gang signs at my direction. Suspecting a threat had been made to a peace officer per code blah blah I spoke to the suspect and detained him for my own safety as I investigated."

I had a client who was followed for two blocks when he "flashed gang signs" at an officer as he drove by. 6 hours of detention. F bakersfield.

While I understand why that seems to be so insulting it is a very common tactic to get someone to talk to cops. Even if we KNOW they did it why requires interrogation which tends to be “hey man just tell us what happened… we want to help you.”
