The more I have become immersed in Mahler’s symphonies over the years the more brightly the mighty Eighth has shone. Edward Gardner’s quite stupendous theatrically immersive ‘staging’ @LPOrchestra @southbankcentre was right up there. Thrilling. Moving. Visionary.
