I've been told the characters are well-rounded and easy to relate to, and although it deals with the supernatural, there is a compelling human storyline that carries through. One person told me it helped them deal with loss and grief. Always happy to answer!
This is my first book, released in October so there is not a lot of traffic, but there is one review that I know of. I take your point, though. What do I say? It's thought-provoking, has strong female characters, counters the obsession for fake "reality" ghost shows, and has a complex storyline.
