I've gotten my info wrong, you pay to unlock the glamour plate, then also pay to set a slot to a specific item. In new system the only free part is actually applying it.
Nah that was the old system.
The new system is worse, you pay to unlock glamour slots per slot per character scaling all the way up to 800k to unlock them all (just on that character). But at least once you do that it's free to swap.

A direct collab with Nomura and we get one unique character (Gaia), one boss (Eden's Promise) and nothing else he designed from FF8, Meanwhile Yoko Taro and Matsuno collabs bringing over their entire universe into the game. I think he's just very protective of his characters.
