I Hope the new neighbour doesn’t have a fear of clowns. OMG

Put on a bit of lipstick before leaving the house to feel more alive. Sun is shining, grass is growing. Trees are budding. Bit of a chill, but otherwise, gorgeous Spring day. Coming home I say hello to the new neighbour, who looked at me funny. I get in the house and catch a glimpse of myself —

The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”

Feeling bummed with the rain, lately? Go out for an evening stroll and pretend you’re on a movie set after a wet down. Everything is transformed! The colours! The lights!

What a great memory! That’s how I’d find toads in our garden as a kid. Not sure what I’d done if it was snakes!

He's currently sending me photos of the reinstallation, which happened today. Here's the British ambassador helping carry Parvati's palanquin; here's happy celebrants; here's a dignitary who's going to need to go to the drycleaner; here's Parvati back in worship and ok I'm tearing up again.

Friend of mine is reading “Awakenings” by Oliver Sacks and we were talking about some of the actual cases, so of course, we re-watched the film tonight.
At one point my husband turned to me and said, “that nurse is the voice actress for Marge Simpson”.

If you like my Sailor Moon zines, don't miss out on "Keeping Flame"- Rei is in a particularly bad mood, and the team works together to find out what's wrong.✨️💓

It's funny, a little sexy, maybe unexpectedly poignant.

Good question!

5 days ago 1 0 0 0

So, I have questions. For those who have worked in movie theatres…is this specific to kids’ movies? Kids overindulging on pop and candy and excitement?!

5 days ago 3 0 1 0

One of the kids’ friends works at the local movie theatre and was saying it’s gotten “A lot barfier since the new Mario Movie came out”.
Me: “Uhh…Does “barf” still mean the same thing, or is that some new slang? LOL”
Kid: “It still means the same thing. Kids are literally puking in the theatre”
