My grandmother, 96, has gone to McDonald's to have coffee with her friends every morning for 30+ years. It's a whole thing. She's on hospice now, and five McDonald's employees just came to her house to say goodbye. I am undone. I always knew she was special, and I'm glad everyone else sees it, too.

I wish the trend of naming sports teams after fantasy beings had taken off. I'd probably be a lot more into sports if I could root for the Chicago Gnomes or the Detroit WoodSprites.
