Opposing white supremacy is a crime in Trump’s America.
This feels a lot like southern states persecuting the NAACP during Jim Crow.

A visible change when he sticks his hand on his chin. Truly remarkable
The headline "Senior Labour figures tell Keir Starmer to stop making mistakes" with the sub header that's not super important, but a picture of Starmer looking like he's just done a little poo in his pants while a tiny union jack is in front of him on a desk.
Anyway I think to summarise today, we only need one image.
Every time I read a piece about somebody with an “ai-assisted editing process” I feel like I’m watching someone trying to intellectualize a deliberate choice not to think or concentrate
found my new favorite wikipedia picture on an article
You mean: a hobot.
I see people questioning what use this could have, but consider that we’re closer than ever to building a robot that can run away when you catch it stealing a pie from your windowsill
Lmfao
For those who missed it: this was the moment The Strokes ensured they’ll never be invited back to Coachella again! I'm so proud of them
A Youtube thumbnail from GetPayroll showing an old bald man in a suit standing next to a blackboard reading "Today's Lesson: FUTA TAX" The description gives it away "A Brief Guide to the Federal Unemployment Tax Act - Lessons in Payroll with Charles Read" but the pornographic reading is funnier.
frankly, it's discriminatory
They did it. They’ve really finally recreated the experience of trying to enjoy superhero comics. This is the most expensive “[Ish #215 -Ed.]” ever brought to pass
NYT article: 15 Dead After Comedian's Subway Take That "Everyone Should Carry Around a Grenade" Jeremy Kaplowitz's "explosive" Subway Take joke was not well-received by everyone who heard it — especially considering many of them have died gruesomely.
i still think this is true but i "100% disagree" with how it went down. really really sorry about that!
“we learned the lawyers from the other side write the judge’s filings, write her rulings. so i guess… starting to think it’s a set deal.”
i think he’s referring to the extremely normal practice of the judge asking one of the attorneys to prepare a draft of the proposed order lmao
We need to stop them immediately
It's very funny in hindsight, but for a small window of time I was worried we were going to miss our flight AND have to transport a body that sheer panic set in. I was waking them with both hands and getting nothing in response while also very hungover so not thinking straight.
that is one of the most stressful missed a flight scenarios not involving a McAllister i can imagine.
I missed a flight once cause my colleague was too drunk on a school trip to wake the next morning. I'll never be late again, the sheer panic has set into my bones. Archeologists will find "late once, never again" engraved into my skull.
i don't think believing this makes someone an evil person BUT all evil people believe this
Sam Esmail: If I name the corporation in Mr. Robot “Evil Corp,” is that too on the nose?
Palantir: It depends, what are you naming the villain?
the quality of each star trek show is directly proportional to how often you see the characters engaging in hobbies

A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
I'm not even sure if I'll like Pragmata, but it's a new single player IP priced at $60 with a 12 hour not open world campaign and no live service elements, so if nothing else I'm definitely buying it on principle.
Computers and the internet were not rolled out at a similar speed or with the frantic energy of LLMs.
Only a 3rd of households had a computer in 1998.
LLMs have been added to most enterprise software within 2 years.
