‘National and ACT blew up building wealth for low income New Zealanders. Today the PM and Willis have no idea how to raise funds to pay for the health care and retirement of Kiwis over the age of 65. They did so in the name of libertarianism and classical liberalism’. 😳

‘government are trying to create a culture of fear where people are afraid to speak out against the government because they're worried that they're going to get that kind of knee-jerk response where their funding's going to be cut, they're basically going to be punished for having a different view.’

This is the future of AoNZ if we allow privatisation of our healthcare system.

Investment in basic infrastructure such as accessible, cheap fast broadband
Wifi is needed to make this visa concept a viable proposition. The high cost of living is also a big deterrent to any digital nomads.

Friends here in Aus are wondering what the heck is going on in NZ economy! Usual NACT problems, low wages & high cost of living & now no jobs. 😕

Shooting themselves in the foot, gr8 example of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing so the saying goes, i hope! Thanks for the illuminating evaluation. Most insightful.

Hope that someone in NZ reads it for the same reason as they begin to change the law to do exactly the same, poor public policy hitting the most vulnerable. Sadly evidence matters little to the coalition government, only greed & cash & the very wealthy. #NZpol

Taking the country backwards into the last century is their mission, sad truly as it only benefits their sponsors not the people whom their serve

Gr8 for all the Kiwis who moved here recently to take advantage of these policies #nzpol

The Overshadowed Bill Poised to Rewrite New Zealand’s Legal System While Attention is Fixed on the Treaty Principles Bill, Another Bill Threatens Sweeping Change

"It is well known that in coalition negotiations ACT secured a select committee process for one constitutional Bill. However, they also secured the enactment of a second constitutional Bill entrenching their libertarian ideals and removing the place of te Tiriti in our lawmaking." - Prof Jane Kelsey

Sleep in their car if they have one, wash themselves, clothes & kids in a river, 🤔 bit hard in winter in the SI, live in a tent in a safe place if they can find one, eat every other day, join a church group & sleep there?

Possibly not out of touch Chris rather if one takes a cynical view that it’s all part of their ‘plan’ to increase the rich - poor divide even further. Enrich the property speculators pockets & keep donors happy while making life hard for working people.

8% ACT Party Creates One Ring To Rule Them All A Quick Read

“The power he gives himself is extraordinary in its scope and potential.”

One of the scariest, accurate and bluntly clear articles written to date about David Seymour, in my opinion.

This needs to be widely read - and the content widely reported in the media.

Great analogy thank you say the property speculators who are laughing all the way to the bank!

They got what they voted for ‘change’ except they had no real idea how ghastly the impact of austerity would be due to the choices made to hand out cash to property speculators & donors.

It's honestly a bit coherent that: Act maintain regulation is stopping people doing things so they put a layer of regulation on the government

They truly ‘don’t care’ as demonstrated & role modelled by ‘I am wealthy & sorted’. This was their plan all along, austerity & cut backs, high unemployment, citizens leaving NZ in droves, space created for the ultra rich & property speculators.

NZ Real Terms Average Annual Health Spend Change Per Person

Underneath it says "Lowest govt health funding this century. Light blue = Luxon Government / Dark blue = Key Government"

NZ Real Terms Average Annual Health Spend Change Per Person Underneath it says "Lowest govt health funding this century. Light blue = Luxon Government / Dark blue = Key Government"

When Luxon says he has invested record amounts in health, he is being deceptive.

LIGHT BLUE = Luxon Health funding: Lowest in A CENTURY

Health privatisation will give them a temporary bump in wait list KPIs and budget, but will cost Kiwis more in money terms, avoidable deaths and patient care.
