I had a similar thought. Like, why this passage? Was it BECAUSE it was from Homer’s Iliad? (What we all assume) Or was it because it was about ships? What if he was really into ships and/or hated the Trojans ?

No one should pay a 3rd party to do their taxes. If the tax code is so complicated, with so many loopholes, with such confused revenue reporting at the source, it’s wrong. It should never fall on the tax-payer. And rich people shouldn’t be able to exploit such loopholes via exceptional resources.

I used a VPN to download a podcast episode because I can’t handle, after 4+ years, the EXACT same ad that a French company sells to US-based podcasts.

That said, now I got 2.5 minutes of ads about for-profit tax software marketed to US consumers. Friends, this is wrong.

My only complaint is when they’re mean to the grandma, but that’s a me-problem I have with any story in which characters disrespect a mom/elderly woman
