DEN/MIN being a first round matchup is really a shame

anyways I've determined that having an incredible season & following it up with an extremely excusable gap year isn't *that* bad because I basically get another whole season to bask in how great last year's run was & no one can prove the Pacers at full strength wouldn't win the East again this year
I am rarely cocky as a fan but I am definitely watching these playoffs with an air of superiority about all the Eastern Conf squads like "awh look at all these teams trying so hard, hope they enjoy their one year with the Pacers out"
Pacers going from one win from the title to the worst record in franchise history didn’t make for the best follow up year, but this was such an absurd stretch of injuries you can’t even be mad
Full offseason for everyone to recover, some lottery luck (please??), & be right back in it next year
Geno sucks
This is extreme cope right now but there is one single program that I am jealous of as a MSU fan and it is UConn
Their ratio of consistent team quality to tournament success is unbelievable. Truly one of the most ridiculous things in sports for what is such a random tournament!!
You just knew that 3 was going in the second the turnover happened
Felt very Furman vs Virginia vibes, obviously much bigger stakes
UConn has devil magic I have never seen before
I am disgusted
Oh NOW UConn misses a free throw
but everyone knows losing 4 games in OT to tournament teams means a team must be bad and certainly not just a product of some unfortunate luck!
Augustine needs to leave this year but man it is a shame he never had a chance at the frozen four
three straight years being the best team in the B1G and a 1 seed and three straight not even making the frozen four. Hockey is not a sport for single elimination
god damn man. Sickening
Yikes
What fun acronym does this one have?
I just started watching during the MSU powerplay so you’re welcome everyone
Shoutout to the guy wearing a Yale hat and a Dartmouth shirt at the gym. I’m sure he is really cool
I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Izzo doesn’t do much, or something like Zapala. But with how good they might be, it would be something to regret if they didn’t win it all next year
Yeah the raw talent of the bigs next year is not the problem, it’s just the their timeline is a year off from the rest of what should be an incredible roster. Need some experience and ideally a bit of size to round things out
I will be disappointed in Tom if he doesn’t go for a legit 5 in the portal. If that doesn’t happen he can’t say he is doing everything he can to win that 2nd natty
But expectations should be very high next year
- those few shots in a row that rolled out around the 5 min mark. Were all fine looks, sometimes shit happens. Bad timing
- Reed (because of course) going 4/4 on FTs down the stretch. I assume that happened purely because bullshit UConn tournament luck
- that final possession down 3. Wood
Obviously getting down early was not ideal. A bit too much of a theme this year so fitting to happen one last time
Other things that will annoy me for the rest of my life about this game
- Fears needed to chill just a little. Was too out of control on drives, felt like he was sped up
UConn made a couple more plays down the stretch, not dissimilar to the Duke and two Michigan games. And that’s probably fair for this team - they were good, but not great, and just a couple possessions short of the truly elite teams
Thank you Cooper and Kohler
A 58% FT shooter going 4/4 down the stretch
Fucking hell Fears
Killer stretch
Jeremy please
Fears a bit too out of control. I like going downhill but the missed layup and then the turnover
