I am, yeah!
Yay! I'm here but just as a helper this year. I'll try to come by to say hi!
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)
Tell them you don't want to be told how to spend your money

You would think!! I just need that bubble to bust already π
Omg I went to this new used book/record store in town the other day, and they had an obviously made with ai "we buy books&movies" sign. It felt odd, but also I guess there's such a disconnect between those who consume art vs those who make it (ofc discounting the traitor artists) it's disappointing
crazy that the website that I randomly decided to put together at 10AM yesterday has had over 25k unique visitors in 24 hours.
please keep sharing with your networks.
What's happening to Lil Nas X is horrifying and should alarm every queer person in the United States.
The system is looking for excuses to devour us right now.
It's a favorite for a reason, I think! I'm excited for that campaign to be more accessible to people who don't have time to watch thousands of hours of content π it's such a good time with some amazing characters.
The Critical Role cast at a panel at San Diego Comic Con. Matt looks sheepish. Marisha looks surprised.
Such a fun panel!! We saw clips from Mighty Nein animated series (plus release date!!) and Vox Machina season 4 ππππ both look incredible!
Thank you π so excited for
Mighty Nein animated news!
Photo of a line at San Diego Comic Con, full of Critical Role fans
I'm in the Critical Role Panel line at SDCC hoping I get in π³π€ (see if you can spot the Matt cosplayer π)
(Also yes I'm at sdcc this year, still booth 708 if you want cat stuff lol I'll be in and out of my booth so let me know if you wanna say hi!)
I signed up for PBS passport recently so I could watch the new Walking with Dinosaurs, but I'm staying for Antiques Roadshow and NOVA. Go subscribe! It's worth it and they need it now more than ever!
Today is a particularly good day to support trans mutual aid as a concrete way to fight back against the fuckers trying to take their healthcare and other rights away.

I really was just about to accept that Ally Beardsley was going to be playing a baby for an entire campaign
A painting done in gouache depicting a Short Eared Owl with three eyes. The Owl is sitting on a branch with fungi and is holding a two headed snake. The background is a forest scene.
"Night Wing" π π¦
Freshly finished new gouache painting I completed last evening. I had wanted to paint an #owl for the longest time. I chose this "Short Eared Owl" as my subject. I absolutely loved painting his feathers. #Gouache is just sooo creamy. #art
It bears repeating that 5calls.org makes it incredibly easy to contact your reps. They give you the phone numbers, a script to read, and a run down of what is happening with each issue. I just called my senators in my pjs half awake and I'll probably do it some more later
Generally a good idea π those things can be expensive!
It's very common! It's how I used to do things before I got a cintiq and started doing it all digitally βΊοΈ
Haha! We have our moments, but overall we want to do the right thing lol
There was lots of arguing whether that could shift your alignment or not, and some players took their personal opinions into it while I was trying to focus on what my PC would think based on living in a fantasy world where being influenced by objectively evil beings is a real threatπ€· it got heated π
π It wasn't just the social moral question, but mostly it was a necromancy spell that came from a previous pact with Asmodeus, and the PC is good aligned, so the DM explained there is a risk their alignment could shift if she kept using the spell. At least that's where my head was at
Oh no! I feel that is a risk when there is a character with strong convictions that don't align with the others, but I find those kinds of things super interesting to explore in character. The PC in question went through with it, but is now questioning their decision.
I left out the most important part: this argument lasted an HOUR and continued amongst the players after the session was over πβ¨
If your party doesn't get into philosophical arguments about whether it is morally correct to eat a "human" brain for a spell that would potentially give info about the bbeg, are you even doing d&d right?
Let's get us to 20% this week!!!
Thank you! Me too! π
Haha it's all good! I posted about having cancer when I was diagnosed back in 2020, and I haven't said much otherwise, mostly bc I just don't post a lot in general π but I still get ppl asking if I'm okay at cons and realize some ppl don't know I've been in remission!
