That was one of the highlights of my trip, where I was trying to understand where I had fallen into by visiting Hungary in early 2026.
The vibes were off.
Last January in Budapest my Hungarian friend who hasn't lived there for 15 years and I looked together at a political poster that was covered in graffiti. She tried to decode it all for me. The poster was against everyone and mysogynistic. The graffiti was against everyone and also antisemitic.
Eu tive a última sessão da minha campanha DnD que durou 4 anos. Nós começamos a sessão literalmente acordando do lado de uma roda da fortuna que nos deu todes 1 ponto de sorte pra nossa batalha final.
I should bring back a "looking for the Nick Dunne to my Amazing Amy" energy to my dating life
Follow the rules and you end up with an ACSM file
Become an outlaw and you get a beautiful PDF
Among everyday products that I don't trust, deodorant (especially spray deodorants) are very high. The vibes-check are SO off. What do you mean "de-odorant"? What's wrong with my body smells and what are you trying to kill to get rid of them? 🙂↔️ Don't trust it.
I would sprinkle opinions on Jigsaw, Spiral, and Saw X in the middle of the videos but no dedicated video to any of these.
Saw 3D
misogyny
Saw VI
would be the moment to talk about my opinions on politics, governments, empire, the west...
Saw V
who knows I don't remember what I would have said
Saw IV
Slowly losing my mind as I try to coherently recount the events of this movie as best I can understand them (and a lot of talk of bad editing)
Saw III
The themes of the franchise, Jigsaw, etc
Saw II
How the Saw movies are essentially soap operas for edgy teen boys (featuring a lot of references to the Horror Vanguard episodes on Saw)
Saw
An ASMR recounting of the events of the movie through Dr. Gordon's POV
This is probably a good time to reveal that at some point I did consider doing YouTube videos about each Saw movie. My YouTube series would have gone like this:
Also, I should say: If I hadn't seen the Saw movies the claim that Saw 3D is the most misogynistic by far would probably raise some skepticism. Having seen the whole franchise, though, it is SHOCKING. Because Saw 3D truly is notable in the franchise for one main reason and that is, indeed, misogyny.
Just two months ago Girl On Film did a video on the Saw movies, which I haven't rewatched since, but that from memory does include some opinions that feel a little more unique.

I'm a fan of Saw and none of her analysis comes across as especially new and it definitely feels like a video made for people who will only ever see one video on the subject, namely this one, and not people who are interested on the discourse overall. Which is fine. And I find the analysis good.
I'm pleasantly surprised with Contrapoints's video by the way. Especially the part near the end where she hammers in the idea that people will learn completely different lessons from looking at the exact same violence is something that definitely bares repeating.
I'll take advantage of the fact that Contrapoints just released a video on Saw and assume people might be interested in hearing other people talk about vile films with nuance on YouTube...

I continue to be fascinated by the phenomenon whereby an expert engages with any of the LLMs on their field of expertise and is instantly horrified by the wrong answers, and then goes on to use it for things they are not experts in as though it won’t be just as bad for those.
Letterboxd Notification telling me my friend liked my review of Basic Instinct from three years ago, a movie that's come up multiple times in the last months in the context of "movies I have yet to watch" but apparently... Already watched it and found it just okay. 🤷🏼♀️
I just did an endurance performance where I ran in place for 1 hour and 4 minutes... 🥵

I'll be ready to eat my words if gen-AI and LLMs do something (ANYTHING) really great that has no "buts" attached to it. Because that's what the medical advances were. It's a good thing that has a huge asterisk of "except it's also making things significantly worse in this way."
But honestly the rise of AI is one of the things that gets me the angriest I ever remember feeling. Every time I see a new face of someone who's behind one of these AI corporations I get enraged to a level I've rarely felt. I can't look at a picture of Sam Altman without wishing that he suffers.
I can't deal with how shallow and reductive the pro-AI arguments have consistently been.
And some anti-AI arguments are ringing my eugenics alarm bells, by the way. Claiming the "deskilling" of people as this great evil can so quickly become ableist.
Finding out about The Lancet study that showed that AI in the medical field makes for worse doctors makes me feel a little vindicated, ngl
"AI helps in medicine!" sounds like crap trying to get people to feel reluctant to call out a horrible industry that does nothing but harm.
"Golden" é a que foi promovida como "a" música do filme. Não sei como tá aí, mas aqui em Berlim tá tocando em toda parte, tem gente cantando no karaokê, tocando em rádio, supermercado etc
Mas eu sou 100% #TeamSaja e acho que o filme é uma bagunça e a única música que adoro das Huntrix é Takedown. 🤷🏼♀️
