Kit has taken revenge on multiple people already and would do it again in a heartbeat. He’s about to make a scumbag wizard’s life VERY difficult, and he has no qualms about that whatsoever.

I informed my wife that one of the ancient elven gods in my books was a fox who ate too many stars/planets and fell asleep, and as she dropped me off at work, she rolled down the window and chanted, “fat fox! Fat fox! FAT FOX!” as she drove away.
For the foreseeable future, I will continue to write:
trans swordsmen
trans wizards
trans tricksters with ambiguous morals
trans warrior princesses
Hilariously, a group of terfs at my college once decided that I wasn’t “really a woman” because I’m unlikely to ever be pregnant due to the size of my fallopian tubes… but then when I said, “so I can be a man, then?” they said no, because of the same organs that disqualified me from womanhood.
Book two update:
-Revised the intro
-Made a cover (aggressively using the “no AI” filter and checking the dates/details of stock photos because I’m distrustful)
-Made myself emotional thinking about how great Luc’s sisters are
-Jesus Christ, there are a lot of competent warrior women in this
Just got an ad for AI that was like, “what if you used AI to optimize your living room?” Why would I do that? My living room has a human-made renaissance-style painting of a cat in an enormous ruffled collar. Anything a plagiarism robot might suggest would pale in comparison.
Goblin Heart is available on Kobo/Kobo Plus! A human blacksmith and a goblin prince conspire to take back the goblin’s stolen heart.

Had a long lunch at work so I:
-listened to the first chapter of the audiobook in progress and tried not to kick my heels in delight when the narrator started talking
-wrote about yet another dad who stepped up (he’s a twenty-foot-tall monstrosity with the heart of a former mall rat and I love him)
UH OH
Welp. I have a cat who likes to chew cardboard, but he hasn’t discovered books yet. Maybe chewing paper is a thing for some fuzzy, food-motivated critters?
I have a cat who loves books. And by that, I mean she loves the sound that books make when she wriggles them loose and punts them off the bookshelf.
You can find Goblin Heart on Kobo, too!
I have mixed up Declan and Devon’s names too many times. No judgment here.
Goblin Heart? More like Gobblin’ Up That Pussy, am I right
Writing a character with a tidy, organized mind is interesting when I’m personally dealing with the mental equivalent of an upended storage shed in a hurricane.
Evergreen reminder: If you've enjoyed an indie book, a simple review across platforms can really do wonders for it. It helps provide legitimacy and helps other readers! It doesn't have to be a multi-paragraph essay, just a simple, "I liked this for these reasons!" is great.
I'm the daughter of an Army paratrooper who refused orders during our illegal invasion of Vietnam back in the day. He went to LBJ military jail.
Dad taught his girls this: "Just following orders" is NEVER any excuse for anyone who's complicit in war crimes. You MUST refuse heinous orders.
I’m so excited! Thank you for giving it a go!
the cover of Goblin Heart by Fae Loxley, featuring a man in a tunic with a sword on his shoulder, walking away from the viewer. There are wildflowers at his feet and the color scheme is orange and reddish-brown. Text: Prince Luc’s heart has been stolen. Will Fletcher is about to steal it back.

Goblin Heart came out on the same month that I couldn’t afford my T prescription. It has been a wild but ultimately positive experience. Even when things are rough, knowing that someone likes a story I wrote and wants to know more about the characters and the world? That’s huge!
Long weekend coming up next week, so I’m going to attempt to make my own cover with stock photos, an iPad, and prayer
Wish me luck
THIS is my 90’s nostalgia: body horror, the way war dehumanizes people, and emotionally devastating character arcs
Are you kidding me, is the director of Sinners about to produce an Animorphs TV show? Thank god, I am so tired of hearing about the transphobic wizard author, let’s give money and attention to Animorphs instead
“Wow, I managed to write a character with an emotionally stable backstory and a good network of friends! Look at that.”
Me ten minutes later: “Time to hurt him beyond measure!”
It’s #transdayofvisibility

Has it actually been a week since Goblin Heart came out? Why does it feel like I have aged ten years in the interim?
