I made a chocolate cake mildly flavored with a New Mexico red chile (powder and hell no not McCormick crap) for in-law types in Ohio and they thought it was super spicy. It was super mild to NM standards and wonderful. Chile and chocolate is a lovely combination.

Someone is not from the southwest, lol. We like our food spicy. I just watched a show where they talked about this chile and I’m real intrigued. Will order some soon.

Because some comments make me think people missed the PSAs I do semi-regularly: if you were born before 1987, you should get a MMR booster now. The second childhood dose of MMR wasn't added until 1989, and folks who were older than 2 (the age for the 2nd) may not have gotten it.

The other thing about it is that people without formal postal addresses, like me, who have assigned PO Boxes instead, would have been disenfranchised. That’s like half of rural NM.

Just checked in for me flights tomorrow. Will need to walk fast between flights at SFO. Then it’s business class bliss all the way to Tokyo. Already chose my meals and wine. Need to download some books onto my iPad. Kiddo’s bf is picking me up at airport in Naha, since she has to work the next day.
