These are great! I'll add my own two cents for anyone else:
1) If you can afford it, get a stereo microscope so you have depth perception
2) Another way to make a pad more secure is to put a via through it, since it will be held to the other side of the board

What do you use the UV lamp for in PCB work? Are you making boards yourself?
I will mostly use them and then modify the description to be human readable. Often that includes the manufacturer specific package code (eg. TI - HBH0014A).
PCBLibraries also put out a small update to the IPC standard to eliminate cases where different footprints will have the same name.
just tried with the newest model, and I think we may be at the point of causing real confusion. This doesn't flag for me until closer inspection
Was really moved by the number of people that turned out to #handsoff in Boston. I hope this is the start for many, and I hope we may see positive change
And yet it's still cheaper than any of the US fabs
Ah shoot, we've reinvented trains again
Routing of my watch project is done! Here are the four signal layers, it ended up being a 6 layer PCB with a stackup of SGSSGS. Hoping the cost doesn't end up being too high...
I think you may need to get something custom if you want it on a PCB.
If you have access to a laser cutter/milling machine/3D printer you could also make a disk with holes and solder the LEDs to wherever they need to go on the back with some jumpers?
Are you trying to design a custom board? Or find a ring shaped perf board/breadboard?
Do not worry, it will be filled with copper soon enough!
I think the pinecil (or TS101) are good cheap irons ($20-$40). If you have a larger budget I'd maybe suggest getting a used metcal off ebay ($100-$400)
Currently in PCB layout hell. Working on a unique watch with 100s of discrete LEDs instead of a screen or hands. Will show off the final product if this project ever finishes
So pretty ๐คฉ
Here's one of the first moves I made. I think it has a very strong theme and I like that it is composed of two much simpler cardistry moves. #cardistry #magic #art #juggling
This looks nice! Will have to try making it at some point
Going to start posting old and new cardistry clips here. Would love to see the community grow on bluesky. This is my original move called pull-up. #art #cardistry #magic
We are done, with a final time of 8 hours and 13 minutes. Unfortunately we just checked and it turns out another run with a better route was completed 6 days ago. We'll get em next time ๐
Still though, great experience
Another healthy sprint to cross to the other tracks but we're on the final leg! As a result you'll have to accept this diptych as proof of us at the station.
A healthy sprint and we're on our way to Kenmore for one final transfer
Made it to Boston College with a decent turnaround time! Adventure awaits us on the C line...
Green line (B) went express ๐

A lovely day at the park, off to Boston College
Walked from Jackson Square to Heath St. Only green left ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
Arrived at Forest hills and had a quick bathroom break. If the MBTA ever sees this, please consider putting a divider between the sink and the urinal ๐
Orange line hit a snag, but we have arrived. Time to do the rest
Onto the orange line with a near perfect transfer!
