Moni iloitsee, kun kylmän talven jälkeen tuli yhtäkkiä tosi lämmin kevät. Minulle luonnossa lapsesta asti liikkuneena tämä on kaikessa epänormaaliudessaan pelottavaa. Nämä ovat huhtikuun loppupuolen lämpöjä ja nyt on maaliskuun puoliväli. Sepelkyyhky aloitti soitimensa Limingassa toissapäivänä. Yleensä huhuilua kuulee ekan kerran huhtikuun puolivälin tienoilla. En tunne tavallista, maalishankien keskelle toivoa tuovaa auringon kasvavaa lämpöä, vaan tyhjästä nousseen painostavan, poikkeuksellisen, painajaismaisen löyhyn. Ilmastonmuutos tekee kotiplaneetastani minulle vieraan ja inhoan sitä.

Sammakoiden keskuudessa kävi innostunut, iloinen pulina, kun ne huomasivat kattilan veden alkaneen lämmitä.
