Recently screened KPop Demon Hunters for my kids. I liked it enough to get the hype. But @nathanchubbard.bsky.social might’ve blown my mind during this pod when he offhand mentioned it as an allegory for the creeping of AI (non-human) created music.
I am not sure. Is it big enough? It feels like it hasn’t quite broken through in the way that a few others have that we haven’t done yet (Hayley Williams for example). What do you think?

It’s a great question and I’m not there yet. Sometimes track 5s are deeply meaningful to us, sometimes they are just to them. She gave us an insight into her family dynamic this week - family business, family health issues, all of it. I’m excited to hear what she lets us in on!
Charli had the most culturally buzzy but I think Chappell is the one. She’s sort of on a weird trajectory: her next album is either going to make her one of the all-timers, or...Is she Alanis Morissette? Or is she Madonna? Both options are on the table. Both are legends.
