Ya’ll, I took the new train into Seattle, and met another trans girl who was also excited about the fact that we have the world’s first (technically second) train on a floating bridge and my wife called it the Trains Day of Visibility.
Thankfully, I guess this doesn’t happen while teaching, but it did happen for streaming, and… I notice that I struggle a lot more with audio balancing these days since my baseline vocal volume is much quieter on my OBS. I’m afraid to give my voice more volume like I used to.
I wish I didn’t feel so self-conscious about my vocal volume these days. I feel like when cis women are loud, they get to still be seen as women. When I am perceived as loud, I end up getting compared to male colleagues that are also loud and that triggers a whole new kind of dysphoria.
